TIP: CB Unused Boat Maintenance Just because it's winter doesn't mean there's no need to maintain your boat. It's important to make sure everything is in tip top shape when your boat's not in use, to avoid any nasty surprises when you do take it out on the water.
Give the steering a once over, check the trailer lights and brakes, and most importantly check the battery - as battery failure is the most common cause of breakdowns at sea.
Make sure you check the battery every four weeks and place it on a charger - if in doubt take it to a local Battery World for a free check up.
Remember to always top up battery fluids and if there's any corrosion or water around the terminals give it a clean.
For more details on how to store and maintain your boat, jump online or visit your nearest Battery World store.
